Born in Nguyễn Xuân Bảo le 11 octobre 1926, Thich Nhat Hanh is one of the most well-known buddhist peace activist in the occident after the Dalaï-Lama. He lives in France in the Plum Village that he founded and has published more than 100 books and travelled the worlds to give conferences and for meditation retreats.

    Thanks for sharing this. I was introduced to Thich Nhat Hanh’s books during my university years and his teachings are truly inspirational, mindfulness being the core. Being mindful in our thoughts, our speech and our actions are indeed very important for us to be happy.

    Mindfulness brings us back to the present, which is the only time that matters in spite of what our minds tell us by leading us to the past or way to the future. That’s why we need to train our mind by meditation. Easier said than done, I know.. and I am still trying hard to do it.
